"I am so glad I found your Flair class! I would never have known that Flair could be broken down in a way that I could grasp, let alone feel confident enough to use in a bar setting. Some places out there are just teaching how to flip a bottle, you are teaching real technique and it looks great! Chris, you are a fantastic teacher; you always knew what to say and how to correct any problem while keeping the class light and entertaining. Thank you for a great time and a wonderful learning experience. I'll be back for the next class." Jen Larsen, Flair Student
"Arriving back home to Delaware, I thought about you and your flair bartending program. First, the depth of knowledge that you have is truly impressive. I learned a magnificent amount from you in the class. You presented the material in a clear, simple, yet detailed manner that clearly showed you are as complete and competent a flair bartender as your web page suggests. WOW! As a teacher in public education, I value and respect an instructor who can convey new information to learners and you did this to perfection! Secondly, the quality of instruction and individual attention was a huge help. The class size was small in number and you provided quality instruction to meet the individual needs of all the learners - Once again - a true testimony to your ability and skill as a qualified instructor. Thank you." Jimmy Hull, Flair Student

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Flair? "Flair is the act of flipping, spinning, throwing, balancing and catching bottles, drinks and various bar tools while in the process of making cocktails. Simply put, flair bartending is bartending with style without taking any extra time to prepare the cocktails." Flair Bartenders' Association
Why take the flair class? Increase your tips. Increase your following. Increase your customer's opinion of you. The world is starving for entertainment. If people wanted to just get drunk, they would buy a six pack and stay home. Give people a reason to want to come to your bar and see you. Flair Bartenders leave an impression on their customers for life. Flair bartending done correctly will almost always increase your average tip!
Other schools include flair in their bartending program, do you? No. Learning to bartend comes first. You CANNOT be a flair bartender before or while learning to bartend. You also can't learn flair bartending for 10 minutes per day. Bartenders Academy teaches flair in a separate course because that's how it should be taught, separately. You get what you pay for, do not expect to learn much flair from a school that includes it in their bartending class. That's like teaching someone to run while teaching them to walk!
What will I learn? The flair bartending seminar teaches two kinds of flair bartending; Working flair and Exhibition flair and will teach you flair bartending techniques with basically every object you will use at a bar, from napkins to glassware, garnishes to beer bottles, tins to bottles. Working flair is flair bartending with quick precise moves that can be done at work without sacrificing time or money at the bar. These are moves that will impress a customer at your bar enough to give you a tip, without making the customer feel as though they are waiting for their drink. Working flair should not slow a bartender down. The other part of the seminar concentrates of exhibition flair bartending. Exhibition flair is the flair that a bartender will do at a competition or when the bar is slow and customers say, "Let's see some flair" or "Flip some stuff for us!" Whether you are learning flair to make a some extra money at work or to compete at the biggest competitions in the world, the flair training seminar taught by Chris Cardone is for you.
What does lifetime membership mean? You have full access to our facilities as long as you want to flip bottles. Students can always retake classes, stop in and practice, free of charge.
What about competitions? Once you have taken the flair class, you are welcome to join Team New York and compete in local, regional or world competitions. Competitions are held around Long Island every 3 months.
Who teaches the flair class? Flair Bartenders' Association's representative for the Northeastern U.S.A Chris Cardone personally instructs all classes combining both class lessons and individual help during the entire 10 hours. Chris' achievements and awards are untouchable by any other flair instructor anywhere in the Northeast. Chris has competed, held and assisted in various local, national and world competitions.

How long will it take me to learn? A lifetime. Flair is an ever-lasting, ever-changing art. New moves and innovative ideas are created daily by flair bartenders all around the world. Serious flair bartenders practice all the time to master the moves and techniques they have learned and to create new moves of their own. Practice makes perfect after all. If you were taught how to golf by Tiger Woods, you would still need to practice to make the PGA tour.
Is there a test? In order to graduate from the flair bartending seminar, all students must demonstrate the ability to perform at least one move from each section of the course. If a student cannot pass the test, they may stay as long as it takes to pass, free of charge.
A word to the wise:
- Be careful when shopping for an establishment to train you how to flair bartend.
- Ask the establishment for the credentials of the instructor teaching the flair program.
- Do not attend a program taught by instructors that have no teaching experience, have never competed in a competition, or have no experience working a bar in this manner. If the instructors have competed in a competition ask how they placed. Someone who you are paying your hard earned money to, should be a top notch competitor in major world competitions.
- Remember that flair bartending changes on a everyday basis and new moves are constantly being created, make sure your instructors are up-to-date and have recently competed or currently flair bartend at a bar.
- Before spending your hard earned money make sure you are being taught by current flair bartending professionals. All true flair bartending professionals are FBA members, ambassadors, representatives, judges or board members.
- What if I am too far away to take the program? If you are not in the New York area and would like to learn to flair bartend we recommend purchasing a home training course on video from Flairco, Inc. It is the best program available for those who cannot make the class.

"Chris, You and your bartending flair course rock! I was always intereted in flair bartending and finally did something about it. I am so glad to have found your flair course. Not only were you able to instruct me, as one of the most uncoordinated people that I know, your course took a logical path to learning the foundation of flair bartending. I walk away from taking your class having confidence in flair. Aside from the amazing aspect of flair, you also took time to make sure that your students understood its history and that should we pursue this, to be responsible representatives as a new generation of what is a growing trend in bartending. It was a true pleasure working with you and I hope to cross paths again. Should you ever be in NJ, be in touch!" Vinnie Flair Student
