Here are some comments past students have said about Bartenders Academy® of New York
Ron Schacht - Just wanted to say thank you to Bob and Sean. You made what I thought would be a difficult career change easy. You guys made the program interesting and the subject matter easy to learn. It was the most fun I ever had at school. You gave me the confidence to walk into the interview and say "I can do this job." I've been able to leave the grind of corporate America behind and now work full time at the Hilton. I still use the memory tricks you taught me to make some of the drinks and can't help but smile as I do so. I recommend your school to anyone who is looking for a new lease on life. Thanks again!
Jennifer Harris - I took the bartending class at the Bartenders Academy in Farmingdale with Bob and Chris over 4 years ago! They made class fun and interesting and trained us so we would be truly successful bartenders. I got a job IMMEDIATELY after I received my certificate and have continued to work in great places since, such as Montego Bay and Minnesotas in Long Beach and Kasey's and Madison Hall in Rockville Centre. I took a break from bartending for a while and recently went back but needed some training ASAP because it had been a while! I contacted Chris and both he and Bob were AMAZING. They were gracious enough to let me take refresher classes for free immediately after I contacted them and now I'm working at The Crazy Donkey and Mirage Nightclub. Thanks so much guys for training me with the skills I needed to get out there and succeed! You two are the best and I wish you all the best with your future endeavors. Would love to share a cocktail with you on the OTHER side of the bar one day soon.
Corey Pierno- Just wanted to say thanks for the class. I got a job the Wednesday after my final class at the Sky Lounge in Great Neck. The owner knew the school and gave me a chance because he knew I had the right training. I feel that without the Bartenders Academy I would not have been able to step into a bar and succeed the way I did. Truthfully there were so many things demanding my attention that first night that I was grateful I had the skills under my belt.
Hope things are well. Take care.
John Keenan - I was a student at the Bartenders Academy® in Farmingdale in late May 2006. I found myself a job tending bar in Hyde Park, NY at the Hyde Park Brewing Company while I'm attending Marist College in Poughkeepsie. At any rate, I wanted to send this e-mail to thank you for teaching me what you did during the 40 hour course. It has helped me immensely in getting this job and learning how to drink more than just Busch Light. I've become more of a hit at the parties we throw now because I can tend bar to help get the party going with some cool drinks, and knowing how to make a cosmo has definitely helped me with the job. So, if you ever find yourself in the area of Hyde Park or Poughkeepsie come and check out the Hyde Park Brewing Company and maybe our paths will meet again...and if you don't happen to see me behind the bar then definitely make sure you try all of the beers there. There's six of them on tap and they are all phenomenal...we have everything from pale ales, stouts, reds, bitters, pilsners, and one that changes every now and again. Thank you once again and good luck in the future.
Jason Tenenbaum - Hey guys, It's Jason. I took the class the first week in January with my friend Matt. Anyways, i wanted to say thank you. Since taking the class i've worked a party in Pennsylvania and made my money back in one night just from the tips. I also used the job placement and got a job at Temple Avoda. I start on Saturday ill let you know how it goes. Anyways, thank you again.
Joe Gross - Chris, I just wanted to say how much fun i had taking your class at the Bartenders Academy® in Farmingdale. Not only did i learn how to make drinks but i had a great time too. I just wanted to let you know i got two jobs within one week of finishing the course. By the way the flair class was just as fun. If you are ever around I'm working at the Playhouse Martini Bar in Bayshore. Thanks!
Noelle Ventresca - I took your course about a year and a half ago (totally awesome) and got a job about a week later. Loved it. Now i'm living in Boston going to Berklee School of Music and in the summer i will be bartending at The Collonade, a four star hotel. Just wanted to say thanks. The course was very informative and a lot of fun.
Deanna Nesbit - Hey Guys, It's Dee from your night class a couple weeks ago. Hope you didn't forget me already...lol. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I had a great time in class and I'm really remembering the drinks really well. So I got a job at Cafe Royale in Farmingdale. I start to train next week. Also, you guys have a great rep out there. Every club that I went to said that your school is the best. So I'll keep in touch and let you know what happens. Thanks!!!!!
Cory Schaefer - Chris, you had me as a student last November...just wanted to say thanks, been bartending since February and within these last 8-9 months, i've saved enough cash to go back to college....moving to Florida over the winter to begin finishing my BA in English at Palm Beach Community College then eventually (hopefully) Florida Atlantic University...with bartending i've found that "perfect" way to earn extra cash...i've never had this much money in my LIFE...thanks again...cheers!
Sean Croft - Yo Chris and Bob! Thanks for the classes! I'm working at the Huntington Crescent Club and made back the tuition after like 2 days of work. I was hired as a part timer, but was asked to join on full time after a week of work. I love the job and the classes definately paid off. We just hired a new bartender and he graduated from the academy as well, so we work well together. Did I forget to mention all of the foreign exchange student waitresses? They were asking for my number after the second day! Thanks again bro, I'll talk to ya later.
Anna Tramp - I have to say thank you for everything I learned from you guys. I guest bartended in a few places and made back my money maybe like 10 times. On Friday night I worked this huge rave in Brooklyn. 600 + people and me the only bartender. Man, I have never been that busy my whole life and walked out with $700! I also want to tell you about my roller derby bout. Its on Feb. 18th @7pm. 15 @ door...or 25 VIP. It's at a place called skate safe in old Bethpage. 182 Sweet hollow rd. 1000 people plus. Come and check it out!
Joyana Peters - Hey I know it has been awhile, I took your class in May of 2004 and have done extremely well since then. I have bartended up in CT while I was finishing up college and at Center Ice in Merrick until it closed and at Nautical Cruise Lines in Freeport for the last 2 summers. I have since graduated from college and am getting ready to start graduate work at C.W. Post in January. I just wanted to thank you for giving me the tools to flexibly find a job bartending wherever I am. I have learned that it's a skill that is truly worth having in life, you know its an option that's always there to fall back on to make some quck cash when you need it. Thanks for that security. Hope all is well with you guys, I see a lot has been going on for you which is awesome. Keep up the great work, Thanks!
Manny Sanchez - I've long wanted to become a bartender. I looked at a few schools. Part of what brought me to Bartender's Academy® was the ability to have a schedule tailored to my availability. I completed the course in two weeks and I firmly believe that this is the best place to go if you want to be a bartender. I can't remember having that much fun at a class while learning so much. The way the great guys at Bartender's Academy® teach is very thorough but they don't blow you away. They make you feel that you can do it and pretty soon, you are. I am now working at a local restaurant and creating my own following there. The best part, besides making some good cash, is I'm having more fun at this job then I've had at any other job I've ever had. I am making more money than my two previous jobs! I am eternally grateful to Chris, Sammy, Bob & Charles, each having had a hand in my training. These guys are my idols. In closing, if you are looking at this, you are already thinking about signing up. Do yourself a favor, sign up, you will NOT regret it!!!!
Chad Eati - Thanks for everything. The course material was excellent (definitely better than ********************). The instructors were GREAT. Please convey my regards to Joel, Kevin and Chris. They are very committed and excellent instructors. Basically, you have a great team. I don't easily praise anyone, but you guys deserve the respect. I sincerely feel that my training at your academy will be invaluable to me not only in finding a great job but also in how I conduct myself in the establishments that I work at. Of course, the TIPS certification will also be very beneficial to the establishment I work at and myself. I promise that I will do everything I can do to proudly represent your academy by being a very professional and responsible employee. I will definitely recommend your establishment to everyone and anyone that I meet!
Joanne Greenfield - I just want you to know I had my first real bartending experience last Saturday night - It was crazy (I mean CRAZY). It was at a restaurant in Islip not far from the water - it was sooooooooooo busy. I made about $500.00 in about 7 hours (worked my butt off) but thanks to you (Chris) "I am GOOD!" Just wanted to say Thank You for bugging me while I was taking your course - you're GREAT.
Anthony Grassi - Last weekend, I made my tuition back three times.
Nirmal Soogrim - You guys were right, I make more money now than I know what to do with. And I get girl's numbers like crazy too. Thanks.
Chanel Secreto - I loved this class. I've learned so much. It was also very entertaining. I feel prepared to start bartending at a bar or restaurant. I loved the instructors because they made me feel like we were friends.
George Oliveri - The method the Bartenders Academy® uses to teach, helps you to remember the drink recipes easily. All the hands on training is much better than reading anything from any bartending book. Thanks.
Kyra Sosnow - This class totally exceeded my hopes and expectations. The honesty, enthusiasm, instruction, practice and drilling were spread out throughout the week and planned appropriately. The class definitely gave me the instruction and knowledge about making drinks, responsibilities and etiquette that I was hoping to achieve, as well as the necessary confidence to believe that I can bartend for real. Mission definitely accomplished!!
Randy Khare - I went to a different bartending school before signing up with Bartenders Academy® of New York. When I got to the school I asked how much their program was, they hesitated forever and tried to change the subject many times. Finally, they told me it was 4 TIMES the amount that Bartenders Academy® was charging. Now that I've graduated from the class, I know that my decision was the right one. I know the drinks and I'm ready to start bartending. Thank you Bartenders Academy®.
Tysha Green - I sat in on a class at a bartending school in New York City and after coming here and completing the course, I'm glad I didn't overpay at that school. This week went by so fast. I would definitely recommend the Bartenders Academy® to anyone who is thinking about learning how to bartend.
